I did my network discovery first, so netxms-agents obviously are not found.

I am installing netxms-agent on 60 boxes one at a time.

However to get the netxms-agent detected, I have to delete the node and add it manually again.

Is there a better way of doing this?

By default, server check configuration of each node every hour - it's called "configuration poll". You can forcibly execute configuration poll by right-clicking node in console and then selecting Poll->Configuration. Or you can just wait one hour.
